Take inventory of the yard structures that may not fit into your new plan. These include pavements and other walking paths with fixtures. Also remove the plants which do not fit in with the new layout. Till the land and if necessary install new soil. Consult an expert botanist to determine the best plants to have in your soil and space. When tilling, create a distinct spacing between the bed and the grass.

Irrigation may be required for the landscape. Analyze the water pressure of the area. In this regard, ensure that the right sprinkler is installed. Consult an expert for this.
