When locating the tunnel, one should take all the precautions. This may include the use of leather gloves to protect the hand from gopher biting. After locating the tunnel, one is expected to create space for the trick to be set. When setting it, to increasing the chances of trapping one should place the trap in a strategic place that will ensure that the this rodent gets trapped.

It is environmentally friendly to use these tools when trapping gophers. This ensures that the project has been carried out without posing adverse effects to the environment. Due to this reason, it is highly recommended for people to use such tricks when catching these rodents since they are effective and friendly.

After creating an opening it therefore becomes a good idea to ensure that this tool is placed along the tunnel in order to ensure that the gopher is captured. The secure line should be well fixed with a stake. This is to ensure that the the rodent does not run with the trap. When placing the secure line it is also recommended for one to use a chain or wire to ensure that the this kind of rodent does not gnaw through.

once an individual has successfully set up the trick, it is highly recommended to cover the opening with a plastic or a cardboard. This helps in ensuring that there is no light which is being emitted inside the tunnel which might scare the gopher away thus making it hard to trap it.

After ensuring everything is set, the next step is to wait. The rate at which the gopher is trapped depends on its activity. A checkup of 2 to 3 times a day is recommended in order to ensure that the gopher does not suffer much. In some instances one may miss to trap the rodent. This requires one to follow the same instructions but this time one must be careful.
